An activity groups campaigns together so you can see their combined total in your reports. For example, if 10 runners in the London Marathon each have their own text giving keyword, you can put all 10 campaigns in one activity called "London Marathon 2027".
An activity can include text giving campaigns and text raffles. So if you hold a summer party with a text giving keyword and a text raffle, put both in a "Summer party 2027" activity to see what the event raised in total.
You don't have to use activities. If you don't need to group campaigns, skip them.
Create an activity
- Go to Fundraise > Text giving or Fundraise > Text raffles.
- Select New activity.
- Enter an Activity name and select Save.
You can also create an activity while you set up a text giving campaign: select Create a new activity in the New campaign dialog.
Add a campaign to an activity
When you set up a new campaign, choose the activity in the New campaign dialog. The activity list appears once you have more than one activity. See how to set up a text giving campaign.
See an activity's total
Go to Reports > All donations, filter by Activity and select Apply. You can also filter by activity on the Text giving and Text raffles pages, and in Reports > Gift Aid.
