Download your raffle's entries, then give the prizes to the first entries in the list. The list is already in random order.
What's in the entries file
The file lists every entry, including free entries. If a supporter asked for more than one entry, their mobile number appears once for each entry. So every entrant has a chance to win, and more entries mean a better chance.
Each entry has a random entry token, and the file is sorted by entry token. This puts the entries in a random order.
Choose a winner
- Make sure you can see full mobile numbers. You need Show Data turned on for your user in Organisation > Team. An admin can turn it on: select ••• next to the user, then Edit, and set Show Data to Enabled. Find out how to manage your team.
- Go to Fundraise > Text raffles, select ••• next to your raffle, then Download entries. You'll get a CSV file you can open in Excel or similar.
- If the mobile numbers look wrong in your spreadsheet, see why mobile numbers in a spreadsheet aren't formatted correctly.
- Give the first prize to the first entry in the list, the second prize to the second entry, and so on. For example, if you have five prizes, give them to the first five entries. Or use an online random number generator to pick a row.
- Call or text the winning mobile number to let the supporter know and arrange their prize.
